Nexus Prime or Samsung Galaxy delay: Quick Recap

Nexus Prime or Samsung Galaxy delay: Quick Recap

so-called Nexus Prime? Or Galaxy Nexus?

Nexus Prime or Galaxy Prime launch delayed

Google and Samsung Mobile have decided to delay the launch of the next Nexus device, or the smartphone that will also unveil the next version of the popular operating system Android.
The Google Nexus S, the 2010 Nexus phone made by Samsung Mobile.
The Google Nexus S, the 2010 Nexus phone made by Samsung Mobile. This device was the first to use the Android Gingerbread operating system.
In a statement, Samsung said that it is “not the right time to announce a new product.” Many believe that the decision is due to untimely death of Apple’s former CEO and co-founder Steve Jobs, the leader behind the popular iOS mobile operating system — Android’s biggest rival.
Rumors say Google and Samsung will still announce the 2011 Android Nexus device this month, and the phone and operating system update will arrive before Thanksgiving.

Nexus Prime, Galaxy Prime “leaked” in YouTube

“A nicely done fake,” cries one commenter in the video of the alleged Nexus Prime that appeared in Google’s own YouTube site. One Android fan added, “Android 2.4/4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich = Pure Awesomeness,” praising Android’s next update that will arrive alongside the new Samsung device.
The leak appeared on Friday after Samsung’s low-key announcement that the October 11 “Google Episode” event was axed. A very interesting timing. “It’s fake,” another viewer said.
According to the Nexus Prime rumor mill, the device will include HD screen, 5-megapixel camera, 2-megapixel additional camera for video chat, a Texas Instruments dual-core processor, a full 1GB of RAM and the new Android operating system.

Android update

The next Android update is very significant especially for Nokia, the company that joined the underdog Windows Phone instead of the more popular platform that gave Samsung and HTC the market share boost.
In one archive interview of Stephen Elop, Nokia’s CEO and former Microsoft executive, he blamed Apple for making the Android a success, yes Apple, Android’s biggest rival. “Apple created Android, or at least it created the conditions necessary to create Android,” blaming Cupertino for being the catalyst of Google’s popular operating system.
“People decided they could not play in the Apple way, and they had to do something else. Then Google  stepped in there and created Android… and others jumped on the Android train.”

Samsung

Samsung Electronics is one of the “others” that jumped on the Android train.. Or one of the companies that generated revenue by using Android. Samsung’s most popular smartphone to date is the Samsung Galaxy S II, an Android 2.3-based smartphone. Apparently, Samsung is also a Windows Phone smartphone manufacturer, but it looks like the company’s success is not with Microsoft.
If the Nexus Prime or Galaxy Nexus is true, then this year will be the second Nexus year for the South Korea-based company. Last year, Samsung released the second Google phone, the Nexus S.
