MODDED CAR:
Modified Austin Mini Malta 1972
EXTERIOR MODIFICATIONS:
Doors changed from external hinges sliding windows to internal hinges windup windows. Door sills changed to suit new door system.
Wheel arches where modified to suit 13"tyres.
Bonnit was modified and a scoop was fitted to make space for top mounted carburator. Bonnit locking system was changed to quick releasing totaly removal system. Bonnit and front mustage where manufactured in fiber glass.
Rear luggage boot,all wheel arches, bumpers and side skirts where manufactured in fiber glass.
Stainless steel front Grid.
Unders body red neon lights.
INTERIOR MODIFICATIONS:
2 bucket seats with 4 point harnes seat belts.
Gear lever box repositioned to inside of the car.
Hand brake was shifted backwards.
Rear seats and pockets removed.
Internal doors upholstery changed to spray painted fiber glass.
Steering colum fitted with adjuster in postion.
Fiber glass dashboard and steering colum spray painted as door pannels.
Cooper style door furniture and steering wheel.
Red neon lights under dashboard and seats.
ICE (In Car Entertainment, Audio & Security):
Sound.
Radio/cd player.
500watts amplifier on 10" subwoofer, and another 250watts amplifier on 2X 6X9 5ways speakers.
ENGINE MODIFICATIONS:
13.79cc MG A-Plus. 73.5mm with 7cc compresion ratio drop forged Omega pistons.
BP300 Piper Camshaft.
Duplex timing chain.
Modified A+ distributor with lumination ignition system, with no vacium unit.
Cylinder head chambers modified, reshaped and polished. Dual valve springs.
45 DOCE Weber carburator, fitted on top of engine.
Crank was regrinded and polished, flywheel lighted to 5Kg, both ballanced togeter.
Metro Turbo connecting rods, polished and balanced.
Vandervhall shell bearings.
3in1 stainless steel manifold and exhaust pipe.
TRANSMISSION UPGRADE:
Four speed MG Metro turbo gearbox with 4:1 final drive.AP fast road clutch and pressure plate. Center pickup oil pipe.
SUSPENSION MODIFICATIONS:
Fromt subframe was fully welded, reinforced by gusset plates. All rubber mountings of subframe where replaced with solid steel once. Rear subframe was fully welded. Dry rubber cones with hilos,and Gabriel shocks all round. Adjastable tie rods with rose joints.

BRAKE CONVERSION:
Servo assisted system.8.5" ventilated disk brakes with 4 pods calipers.Rear standard brakes drums with pre adjusted brakes bios.

This car is still under running in, so later I will take it to rolling road for adjusting and testing to make the best out of it.
Although it took me more than two years working after work.I am glad that I had managed to make this dream machine, almost all alone.
